Day 1 of 8

Met at Noi Bai International Airport. City tour: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Mausoleum from outside), the former stilt-house residence, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature (Vietnam's first university, 1070), then a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter and around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Hanoi - Halong Bay - Overnight on Cruise (B, L, D) - Group Tour

2.5h drive to Halong Bay (UNESCO). Board the cruise, lunch, visit a fishing village, floating school and pearl farms, sunset and seafood di er.

Flight to Danang. Visit Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son) with its caves, Linh Ung Pagoda and panoramic views and Am Phu Cave (Heaven and Hell), then Hoi An Ancient Town and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and a lantern sampan ride.

Danang - Golden Bridge & Ba Na Hills - Danang (B, D)

08:00 drive to Ba Na Hills by one of the world's longest cable cars. Visit the Golden Bridge, Le Jardin D'Amour (9 gardens) and Linh Ung Pagoda, then the French Village and Fantasy Park. 15:00 return to your hotel.

AM Flight to Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tu els (B, D)

Day 6 of 8

Flight to Ho Chi Minh City; visit the Cu Chi Tu els, the underground network used during the Vietnam War, toured with your local guide. Return ~16:00.

Explore the Mekong Delta (My Tho) (B, D)

Day 7 of 8

08:00 head to My Tho and board a boat on the Mekong River past the four islands and Rach Mieu Bridge. On Thoi Son (Unicorn Island) enjoy honey tea; on An Hoa Island a coconut candy workshop, horse-carriage ride, tropical fruit, traditional music and a sampan canal ride. Stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda. Return around 17:00.
