Day-by-Day Itinerary

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City - PM City Tour (D)

Day 1 of 4

On arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, meet and transfer to your hotel. (Early check-in and breakfast are not included; if early check-in is not booked, the afternoon tour runs in the morning instead.)

Afternoon guided city tour: War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace (former Presidential Palace of South Vietnam), Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office. Visit Ben Thanh Market with time for shopping. Di er at Indian restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City - Tay Ninh Cao Dai Temple and Cu Chi Tu els (B, D)

Day 2 of 4

After breakfast, drive 2 hours to Tay Ninh, historical center of the Cao Dai religion (founded 1926, a blend of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism). At the Holy See Temple, watch worshippers in white tunics during noon mass. Shoes must be left outside; discreet photography is permitted.

After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to the Cu Chi Tu els, the underground network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. Visit the fighting tu el system with your guide. Optional AK-47 / M-16 shooting range (from US$16-18 for 10 bullets). Return to Saigon around 17:30. Di er at Indian restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City - Explore the Mekong Delta (B, D)

Day 3 of 4

08:00 AM: Head south to My Tho pier and board a boat on the Mekong River to see the four islands (Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, Phoenix) and Rach Mieu Bridge. On Thoi Son (Unicorn Island) see bee hives and enjoy honey tea. Continue to An Hoa Island in Ben Tre to visit a coconut candy workshop, take a horse-carriage (or electric cart) ride, enjoy tropical fruits and traditional music at a farmhouse, and row a sampan along a natural canal.

Return to My Tho pier, then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City stopping at Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of the oldest in Southern Vietnam. Return to hotel around 17:00. Di er at Indian restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)

Day 4 of 4

After breakfast, free time at leisure. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your departure flight.
