Day 2 of 4
Guided tour of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, the Royal Palace Museum and the Arts and Ethnology Centre. Afternoon at the Kuang Si Waterfall (turquoise pools, optional Free the Bears sanctuary) and sunset from Mount Phousi, ending at the Night Market. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Pack swimwear for Kuang Si. Royal Palace Museum has a strict dress code (covered shoulders/knees).
Day 3 of 4
Optional early alms-giving ritual. Mekong River cruise to the Pak Ou Caves, then craft villages: Ban Phanom (hand weaving), Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek (silk and Saa paper), plus the Ock Pop Tok Living Craft Centre. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Craft villages are good for shopping-minded Indian clients; allow time and a small cash budget for textiles.
Day 4 of 4
Time at leisure depending on your flight, then transfer to the airport for departure.
Offer a late check-out (paid) for afternoon/evening flights.
