Danang Arrival - Marble Mountain, My Khe Beach, Dragon Bridge (-)

Day 1 of 8

Met at Danang International Airport. Visit Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son) with its caves, Linh Ung Pagoda and panoramic views, the Non Nuoc stone-carving village and My Khe Beach. In the evening, the Dragon Bridge (a 666m steel dragon). Overnight in Danang.

Dragon Bridge breathes fire and water Sat/Sun 21:00 only, mention timing. Stand back from the head to avoid the water spray.

Danang - Golden Bridge - Ba Na Hills - Evening Hoi An - Danang (B, D)

Day 2 of 8

08:00 drive to Ba Na Hills by one of the world's longest cable cars. Visit the Golden Bridge, Le Jardin D'Amour (9 gardens) and Linh Ung Pagoda, then the French Village and Fantasy Park. 15:00 return to your hotel.

15:00 transfer to Hoi An Ancient Town and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful night market. Di er at Indian restaurant. Overnight in Danang.

Go up Ba Na early to beat crowds. Hoi An after dark is the highlight, keep the PM slot.

Danang - AM Flight to Hanoi - PM City Tour & Train Street (B)

Day 3 of 8

Flight to Hanoi. At 13:30 city tour: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Mausoleum from outside), the former stilt-house residence, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature (Vietnam's first university, 1070), then a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter and around Hoan Kiem Lake, plus the Train Street. Overnight in Hanoi.

Train Street access depends on cafe permissions and train times, confirm on the day. Mausoleum closes Mon/Fri afternoons.

Hanoi - Sapa - PM Cat Cat Village & Waterfall (B)

07:00 drive to Sapa via the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, arriving ~12:15. At 14:00 walk to Cat Cat village (Black Hmong) and the Cat Cat waterfall. Overnight in Sapa.

Cold and misty Jan-Mar, advise warm layers. Reserve limousine front rows for motion-sensitive guests. Guests might use sleeper bus to save time for other destinations

Sapa - Fansipan, Silver Waterfall, Heaven Gate - Hanoi (B)

Day 5 of 8

08:00 to the Fansipan cable car and the peak of Fansipan, the Roof of Indochina, then Tram Ton Pass and Silver Waterfall. 15:30 return to Hanoi (~20:00). Overnight in Hanoi.

Summit funicular is a paid extra for non-climbers. Late Hanoi arrival, plan next-day pickup after 08:00.

Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hoa Lu, Trang An, Mua Cave (B)

Day 6 of 8

Drive to Hoa Lu and the Dinh and Le Temples, a three-hour sampan ride at Trang An, then climb Mua Cave for views over the Ngo Dong River and Tam Coc. Overnight in Hanoi.

Mua Cave is ~500 steps, flag fitness; it is the best viewpoint for photos. It is not suitable for seniors travelers. Brief clients on the rower tip.

Hanoi - Halong Bay - Overnight Cruise (B, L, D) - Group Tour

Day 7 of 8

Transfer to Tuan Chau Marina and board Syrena Cruises. Lunch, visit Bo Nau Cave and Surprise Cave, then Titov Island, with a cooking demonstration and di er. Overnight on the cruise.

Halong Bay - Hanoi & Departure (B, BR) - Group Tour

Day 8 of 8

Tai Chi, then Luon Cave by bamboo boat. Check out, brunch, disembark and transfer to Noi Bai Airport (~10:45).
