Day 2 of 4
08:00 visit the walled city of Angkor Thom: the Terrace of the Leper King, the Baphuon and the Bayon Temple, masterpiece of King Jayavarman VII. Continue to Ta Prohm, the tree-covered temple where Tomb Raider was filmed. Afternoon visit Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious building, then sunset at Phnom Bakheng.
Di er at a local restaurant, free time at Pub Street. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Long, hot full-day temple circuit, advise light clothing, hats and water, and modest dress (covered shoulders/knees) for Angkor Wat's upper level. Phnom Bakheng caps sunset at 300 visitors, arrive ~16:00.

08:00 drive to Phnom Kulen, the sacred mountain where Jayavarman II proclaimed independence in 802 AD. Visit Wat Preah Ang Thom with its reclining Buddha carved into a sandstone boulder, the riverbed carvings of the 1,000 Lingas, the waterfall and the jungle temple Prasat Krau Romeas. Di er at a local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Phnom Kulen is ~1.5-2h from town on a one-way-timed access road, start early. Waterfall swim possible; pack swimwear. Sacred site, dress modestly.

Breakfast, check out and transfer to Siem Reap Airport.
