Day 1 of 8

Arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Siem Reap - Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Angkor Wat & Bakheng Sunset (B)

Day 2 of 8

08:00 visit the walled city of Angkor Thom: the Terrace of Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King, the Baphuon and the Bayon Temple (smiling stone faces). Continue to Ta Prohm, the tree-covered temple where Tomb Raider was filmed. Afternoon at Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious building, then sunset at Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Long, hot temple day, modest dress for Angkor Wat's upper level. Phnom Bakheng caps sunset at 300 visitors, arrive ~16:00.

Siem Reap - Phnom Kulen Mountain (B)

07:30 drive to Phnom Kulen, the sacred mountain and birthplace of the Khmer Empire. Visit Wat Preah Ang Thom with its giant reclining Buddha, the River of a Thousand Lingas, and the Phnom Kulen Waterfall. Afternoon: the jungle temple Prasat Krau Romeas, Preah Dak Village (traditional num banh chok rice noodles and crafts), Wat Bo, and free time at Pub Street (Night Market). Overnight in Siem Reap.

Phnom Kulen access road is one-way-timed, the early start is necessary. Waterfall swim possible; pack swimwear. Sacred site, dress modestly.

08:30 visit Wat Bo, the Old Market, the shrine of Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chom, and the Western Baray reservoir. Afternoon boat trip to a floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake, then the Artisans d'Angkor (Chantiers Ecole) workshop and free time at Pub Street. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Tonle Sap water is low in the dry season (Jan-May); manage boat-access expectations and recommend the afternoon for better light.

Siem Reap - Sihanoukville - Koh Rong (B)

Day 5 of 8

Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your flight (or coach) to Sihanoukville, then transfer to the pier and continue by boat to Koh Rong Island. Check in. Overnight in Koh Rong.

Siem Reap-Sihanoukville is best by flight (coach is very long). Ferry schedules are weather-dependent; confirm the last sailing and pad the co ection.
